Song: Gam Ki Badali Me Chamakataa Ik Sitaara Hai
Aaj Apanaa Ho Na Ho, Par Kal Hamaara Hai, Kal
Hamaara Hai

        Film: Kal Hamara Hai (1959)
        Music: Chitragupta (& Gajananrao)
        Lyrics: Shailendra
Singer: Mohammad Rafi, Sudha Malhotra, Chorus
        *ing: ?

This song reminds Rafi's glorious voice of past. Crispness in his
voice that was so common in songs of late 1940s is back here. I
am convinced that only Chitragupta used Rafi's voice in a best
possible manner, and none other. Rafi starts singing this song
slow and low (lower than his natural pitch, of that time). Come
second line and he shifts to half to one octave up, picks up a
little faster 'lay' and there after entire song stays with that
rhythm and range. Sudha Malhotra sounds sweet too. A melodious
song.

Other known song from the film is a Rafi solo, and my favourite

Ye Sach Hai Ai Jahaan Waalon, Hame Jeena Nahi Aaya
Mare Sau Baar Jeete Jee, Magar Maranaa Nahi Aaya ... Ye
Such Hai Ai ...

After listening this song, it's easy to realise, why his was a
golden voice.
