Song: Chandaa Ki Chandani Me Zume-Zume Dil Mera
                Zume-Zume Dil Mera [2] ....

        Film: Poonam (1952)
        Music: Shankar Jaikishan
        Lyrics: Hasrat Jaipuri
        Singer: Lata Mangeshkar
        *ing: ?

In this film, Shankar Jaikishan created a sort of record, by
going all-Lata. Film has total 8 songs, and all are by Lata and
only Lata! This 'Zume-Zume Dil Mera' number is biggest hit from
the film. In fact, it has such a nice tune and rhythm head does
start to oscillate with song. Beautiful creation.

My other favourite from this film is a song by Shailendra

Do Din Ki Zindagi Me Dukhade Hain Beshumaar, Dukhade Hain
Beshumaar
Hai Zindagi Usi Ki Hans Hans Ke De Guzaar, Hans Hans Ke
De Guzaar

Light orchestration matches well with song and it's mood. One
more Shailendra song, which is pretty is

Din Suhaane (2), Mausam Bahaar Ka
Dil Ye Chaahe, Geet Gaun Main Pyaar Ka

"Aayi Aayi Raat Suhaani' and 'Taqdeer Ka Shiqvaa Kaun Kare' are
decent songs. Both are by Hasrat Jaipuri. But the real gem was
this following Hasrat Jaipuri- Jaikishan-Lata combination:

Ab To Aa Jao Sanam, Furkat Ke Maare Ro Diye
Hal Par Duniya To Duniya, Chaand Sitaare Ro Diye

A soft, melodious, rendition by Lata.

Note: I am away till end of first week of May.
