        Song: Mini-Mini Chi-Chi, Mini-Mini Chi-Chi
Duniyaa Me Chaand Suraj, Hain Sab Se Haseen, Sab
Se Haseen
              Par Dil Ko Lubhaaye Rupaiyaa~~~

        Film: Kathputali (1957)
        Music: Shankar Jaikishan
        Lyrics: Shailendra
        Singer: Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar
        *ing: Balraj Sahani, Vyjayantimala

This Mukesh-Lata duet is one of the most sweet duet, coming from
team of Shankar and Jaikishan. Very unlike of theirs. A low
pitched, slow song. And no, it's not dumb, plain song either! It
has it's ups and downs, but they are treated so well the entire
song mesmerises me.

Of course other popular song of that time was this Hasrat-
Jaikishan combination:

Baakad Bam Bam Bam Bam, Baaje Damaru, Baaje Damaru
Naach Re Mayur Zanzanaa Ke Ghungharoo ............

Sung by cheerful chorus and Lata. I really enjoy this song.

Film's title song, sung in two parts (fast and slow) is also
good. Do I need to remind that one ? 'Bol Ri Kathputali Dori Kaun
Sang Baandhi, Such Batalaa Tu Naache Kiske Liye' is still
haunting. And who can forget Vyjanti dancing on this ?

Last but not least, we have had a Subir Sen song in this movie:
Manzil Wohi Hai Hai Pyaar Ki, Raahi Badal Gaye'. He will remain
one of the major gift to us by this musical duo.

Note: I am away till end of first week of May.
