Song:   Dil ki pareshaaniyan ishq ki viiraaniyan
Kaun sunegaa meri dard bhari daastaan
                Dard bhari daastaan

        Film:   Hum Log (1951)
        Singer: Mukesh
        Music:  Roshan
        Lyrics: Adil & Udhav
        *ing:   Balraj Sahni, Shyama

Yet another sweet, plaintive melody from this magical  duo.  "Hum
Log",  like  "Shisham",  is a Lata-Mukesh-Roshan paradise- one of
the loveliest soundtracks I've heard. There  is  one  more  fast-
paced,  lively  Mukesh  solo in addition to this slow one - "Apni
nazar se unki nazar tak ek zamaana ek fasaana", also  one  of  my
favorites.

"Dil ki pareshaaniyan..." is a tune that brings out the  best  in
Mukesh's  voice.  The  song is mostly in lower notes, and lingers
wistfully over the  more  emotive  words,  like  'pareshaaniyan',
'viiraaniyan',  etc.,  where the deep resonance in Mukesh's voice
is truly wonderful to listen to.  As Snehal's post  said,  Roshan
(probably  to some extent Anilda and Naushad, in the early years)
were instrumental in composing tunes that  exploited  the  unique
traits in Mukesh's voice to the fullest.

The EMI CD "Hum Log"/"Shisham" (CDF 120286) is a must-buy for all
Lata, Mukesh and Roshan fans. A collectors' item.
